Emergency Dentist in San Diego

We understand that dental emergencies can happen at any time and cause immense discomfort. Our experienced team of dentists and staff are well-equipped to handle a wide range of dental emergencies, including severe toothaches, broken or chipped teeth, dental trauma, and even sudden abscesses or infections.

Since most emergency appointments are last minute and we may not be able to obtain insurance eligibility in time, it is our policy that all treatment is paid in full at the time of service. You may bill your own insurance, or we can file the claim for you and provide a credit or refund once the claim has been paid.

Evening appointments may have an additional convenience charge.

WHAT TO DO

Broken or Chipped Tooth?

  1. Rinse out with clean water followed by a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution. This will help clean the area and prevent infections.

  2. Assess the damage. If you’re bleeding excessively and it looks like it’s more than just the tooth, then go to the urgent care for treatment. If the tooth broke off below the gum line, save the remaining tooth in milk or saline solution and see a dentist immediately. If it’s just the tooth structure and it’s a clean break without bleeding, it’s not as urgent, but most people don’t want to walk around with half a tooth.

  3. Apply a cold compress to minimize swelling and inflammation

  4. If you have no allergies to ibuprofen or acetaminophen you can take over the counter pain medication to alleviate some discomfort
